Nondrug Therapies Offer IBS Relief

One of the difficulties in treating IBS is that drug may prove ineffective for patients or may be associated with significant health risks. The Journal of Family Practice offered a list of the various alternative treatments being explored, including herbal remedies, probiotics, dietary changes, hypnosis, and journaling. The review cites some alternative approaches that have shown promise for the treatment of IBS.
