Shadi Kalantarian is student of medicine at Shaheed Beheshti Medical University (SBMU), and a research fellow at Shaheed Beheshti Cardiovascular Research Center (CVRC) Tehran, Iran. Currently she is heading a systematic review on surgical AF ablation officially registered with Cochrane Heart Group. Also, she is contributing to another systematic review on incidence of gastric (pre)malignant lesions in long-term PPI users in collaboration with Cochrane UGPD Group. In addition, she was one of the editors of adapted clinical practice guideline on heart failure for family physicians, a collaborative project of the World Health Organization and Iranian Ministry of Health. She has also contributed to and co-authored a number of research projects on endocarditis, atherosclerosis, and thromboembolism. Her research subjects of interest are endocarditis, atherosclerosis, thromboembolic disease, arrhythmology and in the field of gastroenterology irritable bowel syndrome and peptic ulcer disease. She is now translating this website and the book “I have IBS …Now what” with Behnood Bikdeli.

Behnood Bikdeli is student of medicine, research fellow, and student section director at Shaheed Beheshti Cardiovascular Research Center, and Shaheed Beheshti University of Medical
Sciences (SBMU) in Tehran, Iran. He has won the award of “Best
Research Paper” at the seventh Annual Research Seminar of Iranian Medical Sciences Students in 2006. He was also named as the distinguished researcher at SMBU in 2006 and in 2007, both (amongst
all students of medical sciences, residents, and clinical fellows). For development of three adapted cardiovascular clinical practice guidelines on venous thromboembolism, heart failure, and CPR for family physicians/generalists in collaboration with the World Health Organization in Iran, he worked as the editor in chief. He is currently contributing to a handful of research projects, namely on atherosclerosis, thromboembolism, and atrial fibrillation. He has been helping Shadi Kalantarian for the Farsi translation of the book “I have IBS… Now what?” and the associated website.
